Maine Suffrage Trail

In honor of the suffrage centennial, in 2020 the William G. Pomeroy Foundation awarded every state five roadside markers to commemorate suffragists and locations in which suffrage activity took place. Learn more about these important activists who fought for suffrage in Maine.

League Studies

The League's study program consists of those governmental and public policy issues that League members in Maine have chosen for concerted study over the years. Studies can lead to adopted positions and advocacy. The League program process begins with selection and adoption of priority issues, continues with study and discussion, and culminates in action and change.

Youth Council

The youth council of the League of Women Voters of Maine is a group of high school and college students who take charge of getting people engaged in democracy in their schools and communities. We organize events, put on workshops, and have a newsletter full of opportunities.
